Nicely done Mike.

We should have had 4 downs from the 1 yard line there. The still picture from the telecast of Jennings’ foot showed that he was clearly past the first down. Then, Rodgers had a first based on the replay there on 3rd down.
While I don’t think the regular refs are much better, this is a disaster.
Absolutely horrible call. No TD, but that was a clear first down. Ridiculous.
I like that Jennings went after Browner. Browner has always been physical and tonight the Seahawks have had a number of questionable late-ish hits. But the concern for me is that Jennings and Jordy can’t get open against what is a physically huge, but also quite slow, secondary.
The blocking this half has been good. But it’s just really nice to see a runner hit the holes hard and commit decision-wise. He was a huge pick-up by TT. Just huge.
I think the Pack will come out and do some damage here – open up the game. One thing that is clearly happening is that Seattle pass rush is getting up field quickly. That means that there are holes out there to be exploited in the defense. Look for some serious dump screens (over the line’s head) and other plays that can burn an aggressive pass rush – as well as some high quality runs.
Read here from a post I wrote earlier this year. Yes, Bruce Irvin would look much better in a Packers uniform right now than Nick Perry is looking. Of course I think Irvin went a number of picks before Perry. Still – it’s fun to imagine.
The Packers have been thoroughly outplayed and that is the main reason we’re losing. But Seattle scored points on that TD pass from Russell is the horrendous call against DJ Smith after he was knocked to the ground well after the play. Should have been off-setting penalties. Just because we all know “the second guy always gets caught” doesn’t mean the *(_)(#&#(&^ offensive lineman from Seattle who cheated, was right in doing what he did.
Why wouldn’t they call timeout there?
