Rodgers/Favre talk from Rick Reilly

November 28, 2011

I’m not a huge fan of Rick Reilly but he makes some solid points here. Read here.

Capers working some magic today

November 24, 2011

The defense has been really good today despite giving up plenty of yards. They have come up with big stops – and often it’s been the backups who’ve done it. Capers doing well today.

Pack has 3 back-up LBs in there right now

November 24, 2011

Amazing. On cue – great tackle there by DJ Smith. Our backups look better than our starters. Seriously.

Tons of injuries – Walden injury looked worse that it apparently is

Rodgers was thrown down there late by Fairley

November 24, 2011

The refs have been busy enough calling penalties against Detroit- mostly because they’ve been committing lots of penalties. So maybe they didn’t want to call another one. But on that fumble by Rodgers Fairley threw him to the ground it appeared after the whistle. Didn’t see the full play but it looked fairly obvious.

Our defense responding today

November 24, 2011

I have to say I was nervous early on about our defense. It didn’t look good – especially with Kevin Smith in the game. But ever since he got hurt, they’ve really struggled offensively. Stafford has not looked good. But our defense has been holding so far – can’t let up.

Awesome play by Rodgers/Jones

November 24, 2011

I figured Jones would factor into this game. Great play. Nice strength he showed at the goal-line not being knocked off his running line. Packers looking good but we can’t let up.

Francois does more in one quarter than Hawk in the year

November 24, 2011

While Hawk has had some good games lately and I’m going over the top here – the truth is it seems whenever other LBs come in for Hawk, it looks like they do more than he does.

Not suh-prised by that ejection

November 24, 2011

Suh deserved to be ejected for kicking. Cheap and dirty kick there. But as usual, the announcers didn’t talk about all that really happened. The play ended with Dietrich-Smith taking Suh down and slamming his head into the ground. A questionable play by Dietrich-Smith to be sure. But then Suh started pushing D-Smith’s head into the ground as he got up and kicked him. Suh deserved to be kicked out no question, but we weren’t totally innocent there.

Nelson several drops today

November 24, 2011

He’s not playing too well today.
