Check out this story from yahoo.com Really makes you want 7th round pick Lawrence Guy to make the team. Unfortunately for him, just making this team will be plenty difficult.

I hope he lands a spot as well. I question the wisdom of him leaving after his junior year, given that he wasn’t drafted until a later round.

Could make him a steal though – I think TT will at least put him on the practice squad if he doesnt grab a roster spot. Lots of upside for him.

Just thinking about the draft a bit and how TT traded down to get some value picks in the 6th + 7th. Packers have a deep roster I would guess it will make it hard to sign undrafted players. Undrafted guys evaluate each team’s roster and sign with the team that gives them the best change to actually make that roster. I have a feeling the Packers won’t be real high on the list for the most coveted undrafted guys this year for that reason. This roster really doesn’t have perceived holes like it did last year at CB, OLB, and RB. Those perceived holes probably made it possible to sign guys like Shields and Starks. TT essentially used his multiple picks in the 6th and 7th to compensate for most likely having trouble signing the next Shields/Starks/etc..after the draft.

Agreed – that and the lockout will make it harder to evaluate and sign UFA’s

Al Harris will get a Super Bowl Ring:

I’m glad to see this. Although it’s hard to disagree with one of the comments I saw over at PFT (“If he could cover Plaxico, he’d have two rings”).
Obligatory:
