Torn ACL. Not good. He was starting to get a handle on things and starting to show why the team was so high on him. He had lots of room to grow for sure, but he wasn’t terrible back there.
My chief concern here is that whenever you lose a starter, depth problems arise. Fortunately, we’ll only have to deal with major depth concerns for 2 weeks (assuming TT does nothing about this) because Bigby and Harris will return. An article a few weeks ago indicated Bigby, Harris and James Starks should all be ready to return after Week 6 (they’re on the PUP list now). In the meantime, hopefully we’ll survive with Derrick Martin back there (though Charlie Peprah had a nice pre-season). I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Packers thought of moving Woodson back to safety and then filling his corner spot. It may depend on the opponent. Next week against Santana Moss, Tramon is probably better suited to matching Moss’ quickness anyway and we may want Woodson back at safety to monitor Chris Cooley.
We’ll see.

Will Blackmon? When can you resign a player from injury settlement?
Could use some competition on KR

solid point Rusty. I was blown away when Nelson was back in there after having fumbled twice. I don’t totally dislike Nelson and think he may have just had his one terrible game for us. But getting Blackmon back would help.

Ted Thompson used SEVEN rosters spots for TE’s and FB’s. It is biting the Packers in the ass right now.
