Tramon Williams’ speed has turned this game around. Running down Lardarius Webb on the kick return was something only Williams could have done – maybe Chris Johnson could have done it – but on the Pack, only Williams. His speed came in handy on that pick too as he recovered so quickly on that ill-advised Flacco pass.

My quick thoughts on teh game:
– Rodgers was outstanding tonight. He rarely makes a mistake. He can run well and has an outstanding ability to find open guys during a scramble.
– The o-line played very good. They played tough and protected well. RB’s were great in pass protection.
– Driver’s fumble was huge. He doesn’t fumble and the Packers are up 17-0 and knocking on the door for more points.
– This defense seems to really have turned the corner. Damn I wish Harris was still available because how good would they be with TWO excellent corners.
– Woodson’s tackle on rice on 1st and goal was HUGE and set up the INT on the next play.
– ST’s is this team’s Achilles heal and it may cost them another game this year. It may be a long return or a missed field goal but it is going to cost this team again.
– Does Green run better then Grant? I thought Grant left some yards on the field and missed a few holes. Green just seems to run better. I like how they used him tonight.
– How angry should Raven’s fans be right now with the officiating? Their were plenty of bad plays but I think the Ravens had a few more WTF? call from the refs tonight.

Outstanding performance from Rodgers. I’ve been critical of him and now I must say a loud, strong and heartfelt mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa to him, and to the entire team.
The Packers show every indication of being this year’s version of the 2007 NY Giants and I foresee the same brilliant post-season campaign as those SB champions.
Wish I could be around for their magical tour.

It was an ugly game. I ended up going to bed after the missed field goal (so reading about the win was a pleasant surprise this morning). Far too many penalties but we beat a good team and largely controlled the game. The O-line held up the defense was fantastic (Matthews was worth every pick we used to move up and get him) and while this wasn’t one of Rodgers’ best nights he made the throws when he needed to. And he has greatly improved his time management. There are still things that need to be improved (*coughspecialteamscough*) but I’m starting to think that their performance the past few weeks wasn’t a fluke.
Ray Rice was a bit of a sore loser and dissed Lambeau. He said “To be honest with you, it was just Lambeau Field. I didn’t see anything special. They put us in the middle of nowhere and it’s not a real exciting place. Everything about this place is terrible, to be honest with you.” Seriously, has the guy ever been to the Dome?

Packerbelle, I’ve been so impressed with your love and support of the Packers. I’ve never felt that way about a team or a player. The Steelers moved me for a while, but that faded. I got attached to the Packers because a former boy-friend was a real Cheesehead. He used to quiz me about stats, former players etc. Now I just love watching the game no matter the teams. I find the Saints so talented and most of all entertaining.
But you are a “true” Packerfan come what may, thru thick and thin. and always fervent in your support. So it surprised me when you wrote that you went to bed before
the end of the game and didn’t know the score until you saw the paper.
I figured you’d be there until the bitter end.

I would have been if not for the fact that I had 4 hours of sleep the night before due to a sick pet and that I needed to be up at 6 AM for work the next day. As much as I enjoy following the Packers, sometimes I need to take care of myself first.
I hope that I am a true Packer fan. Part of it is the fact that it is something that I share with my dad and something I shared with his mom (my grandma) before she passed away. Plus I just like rooting for a team where there is a lot of history and are publicly owned. This is a team that is ‘my’ team and not some rich guy who might move them halfway across the country. They are special.

Love of a team that transcends generations is a special bond, and to share that with a parent and grandparent is heartwarming. I hear that same sentiment a lot from Giants fans.
I’m jealous.
I’m going to St. Francis of Assisi in midtown tomorrow and I’ll ask good thoughts for your sick pet.

Thanks. My cat’s actually fine now. She just had some worms and one pill basically clears them up.
I am lucky to be able to share the Packers with family. Pretty much everyone in my family is from Wisconsin so it is a family thing. Thanksgiving had almost everyone watching the game.
