Read here from jsonline blog re the possibility that Harrell’s latest back pains may at this point, be career threatening. If he is indeed done, I know a good many will be even more frustrated that Ted Thompson took a chance on the guy (considering his injury history was well-documented before the draft). I won’t hesitate to criticize that decision either because even at the time, I thought it was a questionable decision. However, one thing I want to put out there that could very well get overlooked in all of this is this: Justin Harrell is more disappointed than any of us. The guy worked hard to make it in this league, it wasn’t his fault he was drafted by the Packers in the first round and he has had a succession of unfortunate injuries that continue to interfere with his dreams too.
Justin Harrell’s career over?

Last year Justin Harrell arrived at training camp out of shape. That was his fault. With year-round access to facilities and trainers, there is no reason to come to camp flabby and over weight.

Back injuries and the game of footnall don’t go together. Harrell wasn’t the one who risked a #16 pick on himself. That honor goes to TT. His injury history was well known on that draft day. This certainly sounds bad for his future, I hope he has used his money well and has a good future ahead of him.
Last week we saw a very aggressive defense that performed well.If we’re lucky that scheme will carry GB through. One thing I noted after watching the game over on the DVR, Montgomery is awful. Depth in the defensive line is a weakness and wtihout Harrell it will be even weaker. Instead of Preston as our token FA, I sure would have liked to see a Holiday as a backup to the DL.
I’m trying to control myself when evaluating the defense. I loved it but it was the first pre-season game against a weak offensive unit, We won’t know how good they are until after we face Jeff Fisher Maybe the Cardinals !

Alert: Bret and Deanna are on the Viking private jet at this moment. He will sign with the Vikings today. From the moment he signs I have every right to wish everything bad on this jerk. He is now an official traitor and enemy.

According to TT’s interview, the Pack doesn’t think that Harrell’s carrer is over. He thinks their med staff can treat it. But then again, that is TT talking.
