I agree with Andy’s bottom line: The Steelers are a better team but Cardinals are better right now.
I’ve been a Cardinals fan for a few years now — they’re my #2 team, I suppose — mostly because they’re the most exciting 4pm game to watch after catching the Packers in the early game. But I’ve always liked Kurt Warner (if not his wife) and they’re just so damn exciting.
I think Cardinals will win in a relatively close game or the Steelers will win in a complete blowout. How’s that for hedging? My pick, though, is the Cardinals.
STEVE ADDS: I suck. “I think Cardinals will win in a relatively close game or the Steelers will win in a complete blowout.” I hedged and I couldn’t get it right.

I risk losing my reputation if I do this too often, but I’m with you on this one. I moved to Tempe the same year as the Cards (1988), and watched while Bill Bidwill tried to wring every last dollar out of the poor suckers down there by selling a Sizzler-quality steak at Fleming’s prices. I met my wife, a Scottsdale native, while down there, and she’s literally bouncing off the walls. Each week we’d stay at the local gin mill after the Packer game ended to watch the Cards, and I’d like nothing better than to see them get this one.
One thing to remember: while most people think of the Steelers as the ultimate in old-school, there is no NFL team that is more old-school than the Racine-Chicago-St. Louis-Phoenix-Arizona Cardinals, the NFL’s oldest franchise.

Well, just like a few years ago when the Steelers played the Seahawks, it looks like Roger Goodell has decided that the Steelers will win this game.
Roger, please don’t turn the NFL into the NBA.

Admittedly, that last touchdown by the Steeler’s was a thing of beauty. Just an excellent throw and extraordinary catch. However, I do not think the Steelers won this game. I think the Cardinals lost it. They had too chances to have things their way & just couldn’t do it. I thought (minus the first quarter)–it was a very good game.

I’ve got to start previewing these posts prior to submitting–I meant to say the Cardinals had too many chances….

Anyone else pay attention to Karlos Dansby last night? I think he would look real good in the green and gold next year.
A 3-4 with a LB corp of Hawk, Barnett, Kampman, and Dansby.
