Joe Thomas, Brady Quinn Show Up at McCain Rally

I’m in Strongsville, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, covering a John McCain rally.  Sarah Palin spoke first and suggested that the McCain-Palin ticket would be like last year’s Browns team — underdogs who came from behind to outperform expectations.  The crowd barked its approval — in a way that we all have heard at Browns games — and then she gave her stump speech.  At the end, she said she had a “big surprise” and introduced Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn.  Quinn introduced McCain, calling him a “hero.”

Not the Packers, but probably interesting to Wisconsin people nonetheless, given Thomas’s roots.

And Quinn is right, McCain is indeed a hero.

Whereas Obama is a hated Bears fan…

A Browns’ fan might have preferred that these guys spend their time preparing for the Giants game on Monday. It’s not like the Browns are ahead of the class at this point in the school year.

McCain and the Browns. Two lost causes that go great together!

    (Sorry, couldn’t resist)

Well, I was going to post what Aaron did but he beat me to it…
