The Joys of Blogging — Welcome, Um, Storknotes Readers?

We’ve noted before how much we love seeing the random searches that have brought people to PackerGeeks, with Larry McCarren’s mangled pinky registering at least one new visitor a day. Beautiful.

But this one is a mystery. We can also see which websites have directed traffic our way. And leading the way over the past couple of days?, “your pregnancy and parenting web station.”

Say what?

Someone linked to us from a thread that we can’t access, but we’re grateful. If anyone can tell us why Storknotes is so interested in PackerGeeks, feel free to share in the comments.

UPDATE: Okay, as I posted this I thought of the likely source.  Andy’s hilarious post on the process of naming Jermichael Finley.

OK, I have to confess, I did it.

Understand it is with some trepidation that I admit this here after being assured by this blogs’ authors that this blog is a man’s man’s blog, so why in the h-e-double hockey sticks would anyone who posts on a parenting message board geared to women who watch– and *gasp* LIKE Pride and Prejudice, for cripe’s sake, talk about Packer Geeks there.

Well, I did it. I posted your link to the Peyton Manning video and, apparently, a bunch of my mothering, cyberfriends over at Storknet paid you a visit. And, hey, some of them a Packer fans, so maybe they’ll stick around.

Yes, the Packers and breastfeeding. They go together like… um…

That is hilarious — both the facts of the matter and how you wrote about them. Just to be clear, we’re not a website for men only, it’s just that the men here should do what they can to act like men. By giving in and watching Pride and Prejudice with your wife after you’ve gone out and rented a comedy you lose man points.

We welcome readers and all women. As my wife says: “Nothing is more relaxing than watching a Packer game while nursing a child and a Pabst.” Okay, she doesn’t really do that, but she did come up with that line after I read her your comment.

Also, it is entirely appropriate that the post you linked on was the video of Peyton Manning.
