Check out the JS Online Packer Blog here for a shot of the new Sports Illustrated cover. This is exactly what I was talking about below. The entire sports world celebrate the greatness of playing America’s game in the natural elements and yet unless there is a rule change we will never see a Super Bowl in these kinds of conditions. What a shame. Sports Illustrated thinks it’s cool enough to put on the cover, but it’s too, um, cool for the big game.
As someone who thinks the NFL has done almost everything right over the past two decades, this remains baffling.
