Chances of us scoring a td with less than 1 minute higher than dawson missing chip shot.

    Agreed

Doesn’t matter. Games ovr. Said I wouldn’t hang my head either way but please GB, PLEASE, do something about this atrocious defense. PLeASE……

    • Dave in Tucson Says:

How do you blame that on the defense? Packers were 5-0-1 when holding opponent to 26 points or less in the regular season, and 1-4 when only scoring 20 points.

It sucks that the D couldn’t get a stop their at the end, but I think they mostly did their job in this game.

Appreciate your input & opinions. Knee jerk reaction I guess but how do you not plan for Cap or Boldin?. Same teams, same way every year for the last 3? Sorry, I see problems. Not to say the offernse is perfect cause it’s not. Maybe losing 4-5 d players was a problem but this has been too prevalent for the last 3-4 years. No answers. Just want to bitch. There’s always next year ;).

I’d also say, this was an obvious, obvious let-them-score situation once they got into FG range. And I think that’s gotta be McCarthy’s call as HC.

  3. Frank G Says:

It came down to Micah Hyde being unable to make a (albeit) difficult play and Jarrett Bush making a horrible mistake in losing the edge.

    • Frank G Says:

If Shields doesn’t go down, I wonder if Bush is even on the field. Apropos. We make the playoffs when Peppers loses contain to let AR escape to make a play and we get bounced when Bush does the same one week later.

  4. 56coop Says:

Ridiculous that we keep losing to the same teams, the same way. We are the “cold weather” team & 5 of our players walk off the field. Something’s wrong here. FIX IT!!!!

Hey hey, ho ho, Dom Capers has got to go, hey hey, ho ho

  6. Josh Says:

I really disagree that McCarthy should have let them score. Not from the 25 yard line.

Even though losing was disappointing, I don’t think there is a whole lot to be ashamed of in this game. The defense, especially, was pretty solid in the second half.

Several games this season the defense couldn’t get off the field at the end of the fourth quarter that led to Packer losses. 5 minutes, one stop and it couldn’t be done. There is a serious lack of talent on defense that needs to be addressed.

    • Dave in Tucson Says:

The inability of the defense to get a stop on that last drive is frustrating, but some of the blame for this loss has to go on the offense, too. They had goal to go with a chance to go up by 4, but settled for a fg, instead.

If the offense had gotten a touchdown on that last drive, it would’ve made things a lot easier for the defense in those final minutes.

  8. Frank G Says:

In the first game of the season, the Packers made a concerted effort to keep Kaepernick in the pocket. Today the defense failed to do so and he killed us with his legs. The defense, as packergalmke points out above, is short on talent. Drafting will not fix this problem for next year. TT needs to dive into the FA pool and find one or veterans…ones with speed and nasty dispositions.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Raji who, no doubt, is busy constructing a time machine so that he can travel back to October 2013 and sign his name to the 8-9 mill/year contract the Packers offered him back then.

  9. 56coop Says:

Hey, wth. Games over, they did the best they could but it’s over. Either things will be done or they won’t. For sure we won’t get the salaries they do for thinking about the packers future. Not sure some of us couldn’t do better. It is what it is. See you guys next year. Go Pack Go. Hopefully finally by the 49ers.

    • 56coop Says:

Damn, we should not have lost that game. So many chances to put it away. Oh well. Gotta say this one is hard to just get over. Even the daable check commercials suck.
