OK – look for Quarless

October 27, 2013

This would be a great time for Quarless to get into this game

Nice first down there on 4th…

But Nelson pushed the DB away to give himself the separation. While that sort of push usually isn’t called it answered my question “of all people, why would they leave Nelson open?”

There was also a facemask on Vikes there

October 27, 2013

Guy grabbed Boykin’s facemask there.

Collinsworth is right – Vikes gifted that TD

October 27, 2013

That is a halted drive if the refs don’t blow it with the pass interference call. Tramon didn’t do a thing. Even the way the ref threw the flag out late, and somewhat hesitantly suggests to me that he wasn’t convinced himself (or that he was paid to throw it). I don’t mind blown calls here and there by officials (it’s going to happen) but when they significantly affect a game as they have already in this game, it ticks me off.

Ugh – weak defense there

October 27, 2013

Should never have given up a TD there. Packers have to come out in the second half and score immediately. Vikes showing some heart here so we need to stop this momentum right away.

No TD here

I’m not sure Peterson got out.

Tramon didn’t do anything there

Terrible call.

Brother Steve wanting Barclay benched

October 27, 2013

I have noticed a few missed blocks as well, but Brother Steve getting worked up.

Great run by Hyde

October 27, 2013

Disagree with Collinsworth there, I think Banjo pushed that guy just enough to take him out of the play. Still – awesome return by Hyde. He is really becoming a special player fast here. I love it.

I also really like seeing how fired up the bench was. McCarthy has done a good job this year of getting his team ready to play games. They have the appropriate fire for the occasion here. Nicely done.

Our offense is taking shape

October 27, 2013

I think we’re starting to see how Lacy and the running game is really starting to open things up for us offensively. Interestingly, as Collingsworth is just now pointing out, defending us is getting to be even more difficult than before. And it is also nice because the defense is getting to rest.
