This is key. Read here. Without Matthews, the Packers could actually have a difficult time beating Detroit. I mean that. For the first time in years, this is absolutely a game the Packers should be wary of. The Lions have had a few impressive victories, including breaking a long streak of futility against the Redskins in Wash. But the reason Matthews is so key is that the Detroit line has only given up 3 sacks so far. That is an incredible number through 4 games. And even though I think Stafford is good anyway, when he has that kind of time and he’s not getting sacked – he’s that much more dangerous. And I don’t think it’s a stretch to draw a connection between just 3 sacks and a 3-1 record.
