The thing about adding Elvis is we could acually employ some 4 man fronts with Nick Perry at LDE Mike Daniels/Jerel Worthy at 3 Technique Raji/Pickett at NT and Elvis Dumervil at RDE.

Matthews could line up on the right side with Doom or they could move him around to find a good matchup. Then put Bishop in the middle and have Brad Jones on the strong side to cover the TE or vice versa. Hawk can go kick stones for all I care.

I understand they are about to spend big bucks on Matthews, Rodgers and maybe even Raji but man lets take a risk and secure a player that should not even be a FA, We could get him for somewhere in the range of 6-8 million per year and thats a steal for him especially when you think of how much they were willing to pay the non-playmaker AJ Hawk the last 2 years.

Having said all that, I know theres almost zero chance of it happening because the GM won’t/can’t conceive of it.

Yeah, I thought Perry was starting to be fairly disruptive the few games before he got hurt. This is a guy who played 4-3 DE in college. It amazes me that fans are so quick to quit on young players. Hell, Clay Matthews didn’t start over Brady Poppinga until week 6 his rookie year.

Why would we want him? We have the very average Perry who we Ted and Mac will cherish, even though the guy sucks like Hawk. Both are non factors. Get used to all the non factors on this team.
