Hey Dave, I’ll agree maybe everyone needs to calm down. There are 11 games left & I guess we cann all point to the 2010 season as the “proof in the pudding”. I do find it interesting however after reading those comments from 2009 how similar the problems pointed out then are the same as now. NO O-line, too many pre snap penalties, pourous Defense, etc. 3 seasons later. Oh well, we’ll see how it goes. I say we’re 2-4 after Sunday then hopefully the turn around begnis and we get really hot during all those late season division games. I’ll have to admit though, I sure wish Chicago & Minn. would start losing a few.

I think we all need to calm down. This is not the first time McCarthy has hit a rough spot with this team.

Remember in 2009 after a loss to the formerly 0-7 Buccaneers dropped the Packers to 4-4. A lot of people (myself included, I have to admit) were calling for McCarthy’s head at that point. You may remember that the Packers finished on a 7-1 streak (of the playoffs, I will say nothing).

And then, in 2010, after a 1-3 strech culminated in two overtime losses, people were again calling for McCarthy to be fired, and saying that the Packers couldn’t win close games. I’m sure you all remember how 2010 turned out.

I think McCarthy and the rest of the coaching staff deserve a chace to get things turned around. The season ain’t over yet.

Dave, I think it’s all part of that “let’s move our coaches to new positions” thing.. You know, let’s put Edgar Bennett , a running back, as a wide receivers coach. Yeah, that;s gotta work.

Sorry for the sarcasm but I don;t think we could beat the Bears or the Vikes as things currently stand & that really chaps my a$$. Is 8-8 a real possibility? I’m beginning to really agree with Andy’s take. This team has a real arrogance about it from the top down and it;s time to wake up. Too long with the same old problems, O-line, no D and a suspect at best running game.

What’s really funny is about an hour after the game Sunday I was fairly calm; so much my wife even asked me about it. IF that’s the product they want to put on the field so be it. I have better things to do than get excited about it. I can be arrogant too!!!

Honestly, I’m not really that impressed with C.Benson’s production so far. 3.5ypc is just not that good.

On a semi-related note, does anyone know how in the world we have Alex van Pelt as our RB coach? (For those who don’t recognize the name, he was career backup QB for 9 year in Buffalo)
