there were definitely some blitzes in the game. but not a ton (as far as I could tell). Our D was odd – it seemed full of holes for much of the game as Bradford and co were advancing the ball at times, at will. But keep in mind Josh McDaniels is the O Coordinator and while he didn’t make a good head coach, he can really get offenses moving the ball. And Bradford is good – if he had better WRs, I think that offense could pretty quickly become a top 7-8 offense. But still – the D didn’t look great. On the other hand, the D looked fantastic keeping the Rams out of the end zone. Just like we did the last 3 quarters in Atlanta. And that, after all, is the ultimate job of the defense, no?

More than normal Rusty. One thing I noticed a number of times was that on contact with a blocker they seemed to engage and hold their position. I’m unsure if that is by design or our guys just can’t deal one on one with blockers.

I did not have the oppurtunity to catch this game in my area. Did Capers send many blitzes? It make sense for him to play it vanilla against a sub-par opponent. If you just focus on the yards this looks ugly. Not sure what to make of the win…

I heard it was Schartz because Habaugh disrespected him with a fist bump instead of saking his hand. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve been in a “lefty” west coast shool environment for so long.

Did anyone see the end of the Detroit game? The last shot I saw it looked like someone was going after Harbaugh going of ht e field.

I’m not a big fan of basically coasting through the whole second half, even if the Packers did have a 3-score lead. Would’ve been nice to see a long, clock killing drive in the 3rd or 4th quarter end in a score, even if it was just a FG.

As for the defense–I’m not too concerned about giving up 400 yards when the result is just 3 points.

It was a damn good thing that St L stinks. The D was poor. Scoring was held down more by the Rams incompetence than the Packer performance. Over 400 yards for the 31st ranked offensive team.

Capers you still have a lot of work to do. No real rush most of the day. Bad’ no horrible tackling again.

Slocum – Punt coverage

Bennet – you need to get a fresh jug of “stickem.”

MM play calling in the 2nd was boring, if not awful in the second half.

Don’t think Rivers will miss the opportunity that Bradford did. Need to keep up the intensity at practice through the bye week. Usually MM comes out strong with a plan after the bye. Be nice to have that available for the SD trip.
