While giving up just 10 points isn’t horrible, the D didn’t look great in the first half. They did look great on that first series in the second half though.

Some poor passes by Cutler helped but that was tough D. Big difference between giving up a FG and giving up a TD.
Terrible defensive play call (or assignment miss). Hawk was doubling up a WR (or TE) going deep and I think he was supposed to be on Forte there.
Cutler has looked very good today. Giving up a FG here would not be good – and a TD would be horrendous.
Remember last year when this same kind of thing happened. Couple of these calls have looked really bad.
I think McCarthy is wanting this running balance today in part to try to keep the defense fresh. After that last drive, we’ll need fresh guys – Cutler looked really good. And while it’s an understandable approach, especially considering Grant is having massive holes, I say we just score 60 points to win.
Just don’t get it. I understand sending Woodson there but not Hawk. He’s too slow to get there.
Nice start. Finley can’t be defended. He’s more like Calvin Johnson than he is like any other TE. Fun to watch. Importantly, so far, McCarthy/Rodgers have done a nice job of including Finley while also including the WRs (Jennings in particular).
It’s raining/thundering here in Milwaukee yet nice and sunny in Chicago. It’s also interesting that the field so far appears to be pretty nice. Usually it’s such a crappy field – and I figured it could be especially bad with some rain.
