He was fearful that the Chiefs were going to grab him. The fact that Angelos was willing to trade up says a lot about how much both he and Mike Tice like Carimi. Angelos is loath to trade up and actually has a long history of trading down. He prefers quantity over the risk of high draft pick busts.
