The Packers are pretty set and they won’t have rookies or new players that will be crucial to the season. The Packers have a fairly mature roster despite their age in terms of players with extensive experience in the offensive and defensive systems they run.

Teams with new coaches or QB’s are going to be really punished if they lose the off-season programs like mini-camp, QB schools, training camp, pre-season games, etc…. Think of the Vikings. They have new offensive coaching staff and a very young QB (Webb) or a rookie QB who won’t be able to work with the coaches. It could be a disaster for them if a deal gets worked out right before the season starts. We could see some really ugly football games to start the season and I think the Packers are one of the teams set up to excel in that situation.

During the draft, what will the trade rules be? Because of the lockout, NFL teams cannot trade or sign players. But can they trade draft picks and cash during the draft? Or will all teams be stuck in the position they are currently in? I know TT like to move around in the latter rounds, so how will this impact his strategy?

I actually dont think most senior officials should be paid (or get benefits). That makes it true “public service” and would force most of them out after a term or two.
