He is supportive of his team he is getting the paycheck from.
I think he just likes to play in a place that wants him to play, as long as it is in the upper midwest region.
Favre was the quarterback when TT came and he right away got Aaron Rodgers. Then I thought that since Favre played in a different Packer team than what TT wanted, it seemed he wanted to phase out the old guy.
But Favre must like the feeling of playing football in the upper midwest region in fall and winter.

Favre knows he is coming back. He doesn’t want to participate in the off-season work and the Vikings clearly don’t care. But, it just looks bad to the team/public/press if he refuses to participate in OTA’s or camp. He needs an excuse not to be there and his ‘not sure I want to play’ gambit of the last two seasons is wearing thin so ankle surgery takes it’s place as an excuse not to show up until August.
