McCarthy’s playcalling today is way off. Aikman makes a good point about other teams running wild on Pitt. There is an element of recognition here. Even if McCarthy wanted to start out pass happy, our passing game isn’t good right now and he needs to recognize that. He’d counter argue that he’s sticking with the pass because of unfavorable “down and distance” – one of his favorite expressions. But the fact is, we don’t appear to unpredictable right now running only on first downs. Let’s get creative Mike – you’ll have to be when facing LeBeau.

Driver has to catch that pass.
I just said before that kick to go for it and not even try a field goal. What a waste. And it’s that same damn fade problem – so why doesn’t he account for his tendency to push it by aiming left. He absolutely sucks.
Right now, Green Bay has the worst overall kicking game in the NFL – and as bad a kicking game as I’ve seen in the NFL for years.
Roeth’s arm was moving forward but the ball wasn’t. I’ve never quite seen a play like that. It was closer than I thought initially, but the problem again was that the ball hadn’t moved forward had all (even though his arm had). Weird play. Let’s score an emphatic TD here.
I don’t know this ref to be a homer necessarily, but I’ve seen him make some bad calls over time. That was a fumble and it should be Packers’ ball. Here is that early turnover I was asking for…
Shortly after ripping on him for having no pass rush (he still has no pass rush). He makes a great play on the reverse.
That kind of punt just hurts. No hang time and only 36 yards. Just bad.
One of the things I’ve always hated about NE(Vince Wilfork, their LBs) is that their players hit offensive players just after they are down but before officials would consider it a late hit. I forgot that Pitt does this too. Watch for it.
