Rodgers should have seen that coming – bad sack
November 8, 2009Grant’s legs churning today
November 8, 2009I’ve been watching Grant’s legs – they seem far more active than they have been up until this point. He is not just going down but driving forward. I like it.
Tauscher has reinjured his knee
November 8, 2009Crap – that sucks. He was doing a nice job.
Ok, we need a good, balanced drive here
November 8, 2009I want to see Grant get some runs here – I also want to see a well-executed screen pass. Use the run once again to set up the pass. Get the TEs involved too. Come on fellas.
Run the ball more
November 8, 2009You may be as surprised as I was to learn that we’ve only dropped back to pass 3 more times than we’ve run. Feels a lot more uneven. Regardless, Grant only has 10 of those carries but is having his way with the Tampa D and running the ball more could help give our defense a breather – and just help us control the game better. You also may be surprised to learn that Rodgers is 7/15 passing right now. Not great.
This goes back to playcalling
November 8, 2009With 3 minutes left, McCarthy again, only passed. 3 incompletions and barely any time run off the clock. Instead of running the ball which would have made TB use up timeouts, the Pack gave TB the ball with over 2 minutes left.
Ok, Hawk shouldn’t be benched…
November 8, 2009Hawk mistake
November 8, 2009Now, if Hawk was indeed in error there, if McCarthy and his staff were consistent, they’d bench him for the error like they did to Bishop last week. Read this morning’s jsonline article by Silverstein on Hawk/Bishop. Hawk did have a great sack earlier, but the way this staff works, great plays get less attention than mistakes.
Run the …. ball!
November 8, 2009What is McCarthy doing? Ryan Grant has run wild in the first half on only a handful of carries – give him the damn ball.
Thank you Nick Collins
November 8, 2009We’re responding reasonably well to the adverse situations we’re putting ourselves into. Nice play by Collins – not such a nice throw by Freeman.
