I was just looking at the Packers <a href="http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2009/week-11-dvoa-ratings" rel="nofollow">Week 11 DVOA Ratings</a>.

Offense: #4. Defense: #1. Special teams: #31.

Yikes. That's one really bad problem. (Oh, yeah--Special teams #32? That would be the Steelers).

great collection there. i'm absolutely flabbergasted that grant is the #9 back in the league average-wise right now. does he have incentives in his contract? think of what our running game could be if mccarthy called 25-30 running plays per game.

here are two more stats i found:

- if brett favre wins an mvp and a superbowl, 38% of packer fans will end it all, 93% will vomit all over their new shoes, and 29% of favre-detractors will claim they supported him all the way, buy a #4 jersey, go out into the backyard with it and rub dirt on it so it looks at least 24 months old.

-if brett favre wins an mvp, throws 59 touchdowns, has a passer rating of 154.45, but contributes to his team's failure to achieve a superbowl win in ANY WAY - 85% of packer fans will be just fine with that. if he outright loses a playoff game for his team, packer fans will (rightly) give new meaning to the word 'smug.'

"The Packers have the #3 ranked defense in yards allowed per game, yet they are ranked 12th in points allowed per game."

easily explained: the special teams unit gives the other team such a short field that they simply can't give up more yards.
