first off, thanks for the compliments - it was a very small part in a great video about an even greater cause for even greater citizens. i'm at the bottom of that totem pole, but very grateful to have any part at all.

but i feel as if i have to keep the lovefest going - the hayes family is a nauseatingly gifted group, and i was witness to it growing up. i remember once, in 8th grade - i had unfortunately (to my parents anyhow) developed an interest in the drums. dan was showing me the basics in the basement when andy came trotting downstairs to switch his laundry.

he told dan he wanted to play something, and sat down behind the kit. he started playing a beat with his right hand, holding a bagel in his left - he then decided the bagel was unimportant, and dropped it, reached over to the piano and starting playing a 12 bar blues riff to go along with the beat. then he tied it all together with some impromptu singing in spanish, probably about some foxy lady. then he switched the laundry and ran back upstairs.

i almost vomited on the spot. this was not an infrequent sort of occurrence.

Thanks so much for sharing this video. Here in Canada November 11th is known as Remembrance Day. As a Brit, I appreciate what the Americans and Canadians did to ensure the freedom of the world was maintained. Many (too many) gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we and our children could remain free and have continued hope for the future. Thank you to all veterans from me and my family.

Wow, that was awsome. I saw the link on The Weekly Standard site, but didn't put it together that Dan Hayes was a brother. This is a talented family. From the opening thick Wisconsin accent I was tearing up. Thanks to everyone who makes these trips possible for the brave men who did so much for all of us.

I'd take any 5 of them over our OL any day. They'd protect AR just like they made the world safe for democracy. Treat Jared Allen like a poor nazi, kicking his butt back to Minnesota.

An added bonus was listening to Joshy's soundtrack. Reading the site, I feel like I kind of get to know some of you guys. Never would have guessed JWBFP was a great musician. Stand up comic or accomplished author maybe but talented guitarist? Maybe you could start a section with bios of your frequent posters, so we could put faces with the names.
