The Packers brought in Ahman Green and Dominic Rhodes for tryouts today according to jsonline. Interesting that TT is willing to bring in ancient veterans to potentially sign all of a sudden – at a position where being over 30 is generally considered bad news. For TT, signing one of these guys, even to their elevated veteran’s minimum salary, would beat the cost of making a real trade that may help longer term. That said, if either guy looks good enough, I’d be open to signing one of them because we need help at RB.

Now that Jackson is back they are looking to replace Wynn who was beyond horrible the first three games. I still don’t think Wynn even makes the roster if Jackson doesn’t get hurt in the last pre-season game. TT probably didn’t feel comfortable keeping Sutton as the #2 back so he was forced to keep Wynn over Sutton when Jackson got hurt. He should have kept all four and let Hall or Kuhn go until Jackson got healthy. It’s absurd to keep 3 FB’s on this roster and release Sutton or Smith.
