After a year out of football it will take some time to get in playing shape. He should as much playing time as possible in the Lion and Brown game. The hopefully he’ll start against the Queenies.
All this talk about Rodgers being slow is just so much crap, I’m about to explode. Yah, he has had a slow release on some plays but he has had only 1 Int. and that was more than likely Jennings taking it deeper instead of breaking to the sideline earlier. Twenty Sacks in four games is all we need to know. The O line lacks the neccessay talent. Tauscher is a step up no matter how long he’s been out of the game.
Good one Joe. IF Clifton’s healthy and Tauscher can just hold up his player for 2-3 seconds that’s gotta give Aaron more time. Also, everyone else is back at their normal positions and Barbre is where he belongs (on the bench).
Ron, I don’t think Rogers is slow but I wouldn’t mind seeing him throw away a few more balls rather than taking the sack (at least when he has that opportunity).
Coop, I agree Rodgers needs to throw the ball away more often. I just wish we could get a couple games of decent protection to see if it is something he does all the time or if it is something more along the lines of just trying to get anything done because if he throws it away every time he is running for his life nothing is going to ever happen.

He certainly can’t hurt as the Pack is on a pace to give up 80 sacks for the year at this rate.

Notes from today’s practice
“OLB Brady Poppinga was absent from practice.”
Could part 2 of your plan/dream be coming true?

Poppinga is absent even when he is there. (insert rimshot sound effect here).
This is a good thing. As long as Taushcer doesn’t fall asleep on the field, he is an improvement. And if he does fall asleep, we don’t lose anything.

Any reason for Poppinga’s absence?
