Will it never end? Sometimes I wonder if this guy got one too many hard knocks because this is just stupid. He’s almost 40, he’s like out of shape because he hasn’t been doing much during the off season and he’s picking one of the Packers’ biggest rivals.

  2. Ron La Canne Says:

His one and only objective is to stick it in TT’s eye. If Minn is thinking about Super Bowl just because of this, forget it. He is old and has a repaired throwing arm. As the Jets found out, the playoffs are earned in Nov. and Dec. Unless the Comish scheduled all their games at the Hunpty Dump in Nov and Dec they better make sure their bachup is ready to play.

Who gets the pick 6? Harris or Woodson. I would think that no one knows Favre’s tendancies better than them.

I hate this. I want to see the new 3-4 defense fold him up like a dishtowel. I hate this.

I hate this too Coop. I really respected Favre when it seemed like he was a good guy but this prima dona behavior has really disappointed me. If you want to play then play, but don’t dither around until training camp is pretty much over. Yes, the practices aren’t as much fun as games but it that is part of the price and he doesn’t seem willing to pay it.

Congratulations! Yours is the first source in my Google Reader to post this!!!!

Don’t get me wrong, this story drives me nuts and the thought of Favre in a Vikes uniform makes me cringe and I have always been on the miond that Favre is motivated by sticking it to TT but I am begining to think that the only explanation for Favre’s strange turns is that each time he makes a decision he is completely sincere about it *at the time*. He really did intend to retire each time, felt like he was done and had no more desire to play; and he truly did start to feel better, get the hunger and really just want to get back to football each time. I think Favre, unlike a lot of people who pay it lip service, actually lives in the moment and does what he wants to do, whatever the consequences. That might not be the best approach to life, but at least it means he might not be *trying* to drive us crazy, he is just doing it incidentally to following his own sincere desires.

    Two weeks ago on ESPN:

“I didn’t feel like physically I could play at a level that was acceptable.”

    Let’s hope he was correct.

    T. Jackson an upgrade over Brohm? He knows the system and could maybe thrive under MM without the pressure of starting. Andy sure loves the guy! Anyway, I think he needs to visit a Kinko’s as soon as possible and copy that purple play book.

I’ve heard that he has a partially torn rotator cuff. Have to think that isn’t going to help him play at an acceptable level.

I’m sick too Coop and Belle. Raymidge – it is possible that he just lives by the moment. It would certainly account for his apparent disregard for consequences etc. But Steve and I have been talking now for a while about what seems like the likelihood that Favre orchestrated this MN move over a year ago when he left the Pack. Judging by how weird this whole situation has been, I wouldn’t even put it past Favre/Vikings that they all knew this was going to happen – Favre just told them 3 weeks ago to wait until mid-Aug to announce as he felt more comfortable announcing it then…less pressure.

DaveK, I didn’t say it, but I sure thought about it! T-Jack has similar attributes as Aaron Brooks (mobility, big arm), and McCarthy worked some magic with Brooks. I was just telling Brother Steve the other day about how soon we’ll have to start crediting McCarthy for bringing along some of these offensive guys (Grant, Jennings, Finley, Korey Hall, Flynn) – I think Jackson might thrive under him. My guess though, is that Jackson will wear a Seahawks uni by year’s end. Not sure why, I’ve thought this now for a while (maybe because Mora has experience working with a very similar player in Vick).
