but as i noted in a comment over at cheeseheadtv, following many such jokes about an excess of coaches — as much as i’m all for fiscal responsibility and keeping things simple when it makes sense — i doubt greene can have a negative influence on young players. i don’t know if he can coach either, but i like the model belichick seemed to follow — if a guy can help in any way make the team better or more motivated — invent a position for him. who knows what capers’ real job was in new england, but you can bet his absence won’t be a positive, simplifying force in new england next year.
