Haven't been to the Fan Fest. I was at the draft party though last year which was a lot of fun. A lot of Brohm and Flowers were in the mock drafts but I don't remember seeing one with Jordy Nelson being the packers first pick lol. Fan Fest sounds like it has a lot of the same events that the draft party does. And the draft party is only $25! So I will probably go to the DP this year too. Maybe I will meet someone from the Packer blogs this year :)

Glad to see you're back. I was beginning to wonder why there was no news here when the Journal Sentinel was reporting stuff. Tickets are now on sale for Fan Fest at Lambeau in March through ticketmaster.

Maybe Greene will actually suggest we find someone other than P-------a (since we're not using his name any more) once he sees him in action. One thing I am liking about some of these defensive coaches we are hiring is their experience & confidence. IF TT is really a problem & MM & TT do have too much player loyalty I have a feeling Capers or Greene will not hang around long if they cannot get the personnel they need because TT likes a guy too much--and I doubt they leave quietly.

Or possibly, Greene gets P------a to man up and be a better football player.

Good enough for me:

"Greene personified the 3-4 outside linebacker in Capers' blitz-happy defense, finishing third on the NFL's all-time sack list behind Bruce Smith and Reggie White. His understanding of the position will help potential outside linebackers Aaron Kampman, Brady Poppinga, Desmond Bishop and Jeremy Thompson adjust to a new position.

"I played four years with Dom, two in Pittsburgh and two in Carolina," Greene said. "Two of those years I led the NFL in sacks. We were always very productive with our 3-4 blitz scheme. I'm very familiar with what he's trying to implement."

i like the move. i think a smaller student to professor ratio can only make the packers a more successful midwestern liberal arts college.

but as i noted in a comment over at cheeseheadtv, following many such jokes about an excess of coaches -- as much as i’m all for fiscal responsibility and keeping things simple when it makes sense — i doubt greene can have a negative influence on young players. i don’t know if he can coach either, but i like the model belichick seemed to follow — if a guy can help in any way make the team better or more motivated — invent a position for him. who knows what capers’ real job was in new england, but you can bet his absence won’t be a positive, simplifying force in new england next year.
