Interesting note re the success of the teams he coached. Overall, I’d have to say I would welcome Nolan and would be interested in getting a 3-4 look in there. My one concern is that he didn’t get the job done a head coach but I’m hoping that it may be more of just him not being HC material – and a better behind-the-scenes type coach. We’ll see.

Those teams had 7 winning seasons (4 losing), and 4 playoff appearances (though none made it past the divisional round).

OTOH, the 49ers’ were pretty bad the whole time he was HC…
