Good thought Peggy – there in fact are a couple of ex-Badgers who might be of use here: Ken DeBauche or Kevin Stemke. DeBauche was a bit quicker on getting the punt off and he apparently looked good in camp. Nice thinking on this one Peggy.

Hilarious PackSmack! Good thinking. I’d especially like the access to the free gatorade…when I was little, I spent a concerning and unreasonable amount of my time envying professional athletes for having constant and free access to gatorade during games.

Andy, you’re going the wrong direction. You should be old enough to have learned how to work smarter, not harder, and that subjecting yourself to a blocked-punt collision could potentially make it hard to get out of bed for a few days. So what you should do, rather than apply for the punter job, albeit you might be able to do a respectable job at it, is shoot for the job of the guy who runs out there and gets the kicking tee after a Packer kick-off. You see, you’re right there on the sidelines the whole game, for they need you bad a few times a game. You also get to schmooz with all the players, you get a great view of the game, can listen to play calls, drink all the gatorade you want, travel with the team, and you can also clandestinely lob eggs at Ted Thompson…and you will never get hammered by a charging defender attempting a punt block.

Think about it. Of course, since my application is already in, you’ll have to beat me out for the job, and since I’m older than you and much more experienced in treachery, you will have your work cut out for you. But ya know, I could come up with a case of turf toe or something, so the stand-by position is not a bad place to be…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I think Steve “Floppa” Hayes’s legs and acting ability will bring the Packers huge dividends. Plus, having studied Dick Cheney and the Saddam-Bin-Ladin connection in depth, Steve is clearly the one guy who could make sense out of the Packers’ front office’s byzantine machinations…

For what it’s worth Steve, I think your soccer experience would definately make you a huge improvement over Frost. However, I have more sympathy for your desire to go for it all the time. I think the Packers should just announce tomorrow that they cut Frost and have no intention of replacing him. In Tampa, it seemed like the Bucs always started on the Pac 30 anyways! What’s there to lose? If a particularly egregious situation emerges Crosby, or you Steve, could fill in. What does everybody think?
