Crosby having to break in a new holder in less than a week is a bit scary to say the least. The bond you referred to and the familiarity of the holder with the kicker are the keys. I equate it to the same relationship that a center/QB or a WR/QB would have. If they are not on the same page, things can go horribly wrong. Things like PATs or FG’s within 30 yards are generally automatic, but now add in this dynamic and there is the potential for added drama (in a season that has all too much already…).
