“Considering Ryan Grant was the one who resurrected the Green Bay Packers’ running game last season, it might seem a bit surprising how much coach Mike McCarthy has talked up Brandon Jackson.” So begins a story in the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Surprising? Really? To the contrary, with Grant still awaiting a serious offer from the Packers, it was inevitable that the Packers would talk up Jackson.

Please. McCarthy has been talking up Jackson since the start of OTAs. (With an eye towards a possible impasse with Grant? Possibly.)

Maybe Jackson is the guy they thought he could be — but wasn’t — last year. But of course they’re praising him to get Grant to think that he’s replaceable. Not surprising at all.

I watched B Jack all through college at Nebraska and this kid is one tough runner. No way is he an everyday down back in the NFL and only should be a 10-15 carry a game RB. He was amazing catching the ball out of the backfield for the Cornhuskers and I hope the Packers can get him the rock in the same capacity.
Skim some of that Favre bribe money and PAY Ryan Grant.

Mac, exactly. Jackson is a position player and Grant’s the grind it out guy. Even when Taylor and Hornung were a team, they had Tom Orre or Elijah Pitts to change the pace.

Moore not Orre. I’ can’t type.
