We can all agree that due the circumstances the renewed offer is a clumsy goodwilll gesture. But it was a good will gesture nonetheless.

Not to mention the fact that any AFC playoff team is going to have to face (along with the Patriots) the likes of the Steelers, Jaguars, Colts, and Chargers in the playoffs.

The Bucs, on the other hand, are a warm weather team. They made the playoffs last year, and play in a weak division, and a relatively weak conference.

If Favre is looking for a chance to compete in another Super Bowl (and is willing to do it with a team not named “Vikings”), it seems to me that the Bucs are a better choice than the Jets.
