Kirwan: 90 Percent Chance Favre Plays in 2008

By sfhayes

Sorry I’ve missed the first part of the Brett-Favre-returns discussion, but it’s clear we will be talking about this for several weeks.  Check back often for updates/news/commentary.

Fascinating discussion today on Sirius NFL Radio with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan.  Kirwan, a former NY Jets GM, said he spent the weekend calling around to his NFL contacts and believes there is a 90 percent chance Favre is coming back for 2008.  At least.  Kirwan also said the consensus around the league is that Favre will not play for the Packers again — that Ted Thompson does not want him back.  Kirwan also believes there is very little trade market for Favre (I’m skeptical of that) — and that Favre will either be back with the Packers or released.

As you’d expect, I’ve got lots and lots of thoughts on this.  I’ll try to get something up tonight after I take care of my obligations for my real job.

Let me recommend a little Viagra for later tonight. Just don’t mix with Flomax.

Sorry, a fastball up the middle. Couldn’t let it go.
