I like the post Hayes, but I wonder if MM thinks "...try to act cool, try to act cool, don’t let on that bowel movements may be complicating this right now,..."

I have a feeling that he's past that point in his career, if he ever even thought that, b/c I can't see “a real football guy from Pittsburgh” ever having GI problems on the sidelines.

Hey,

My name is Tim Felker and I’m a Blog Coordinator for The Bleacher Report (bleacherreport.com), the Open Source Sports Network. I am very impressed with your blog, especially this article about they McCarthy and the benefits to his coaching style.

We are working on growing our Green Bay Packers Community and would love to syndicate your blog. We believe syndicating will benefit you in a variety of ways.

1.	Our NFL articles average over 500 reads. Syndicating on Bleacher Report will give you a much wider audience and direct traffic back to your site. Here’s an example of a recent article syndicated from a blog: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/19518-2008-NFL-Mock-Draft-Picks-11-20-240408

2.	Some of our best articles are featured on FoxSports.net, giving our writers widespread international appeal and exposing FoxSports editors to their work. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/8110858/The-NBA-playoffs:-Where-clock-screwups-happen

3.	Our top writers are also invited to appear on sports radio shows frequently. What’s better than to getting to hit the airwaves and promote your writing? http://blog.bleacherreport.com/?p=64

4.	Our site fosters debate between the best online sports writers online. Here’s an example of one of our round table discussions. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/16668-NBA-Roundtable-Award-Winners-070408

If this sounds appealing or if you’d like to learn more, please shoot me an email. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

nice post. Could not agree more. I like the way you use precedent as a positive step forward. I am very excited this for this season. Not like 96 or 97 excited- but close.

The only inkling I had that MM might be a good/great hire was when someone in the organization (might've been TT himself) described him as (paraphrase) "a real football guy from Pittsburgh" and I sort of felt like I knew what that meant. Like calling someone a "New York City point guard" it evokes a certain mentality and approach to the game that encouraged me at the time and I think has proven out to be correct. MM's calling card seems to be a tough, smart, unselfish, fundamentally sound and quietly confident brand of football.
Sure it's early, but what else is sports rooting for if not overreacting and coming to long-term conclusions from short-term trends? I compared Jeremichael Finley to A. Gates and T. Gonzalez based on one 3 minute youtube highlight real why can't I think that MM is the next great coach based on 2 seasons?
