MC - that is a crazy thought, but I like your out-of-the-box thinking. While I would never trade Favre (unless he assured me he wouldn't actually play), I like the idea of doing something unexpected this offseason. Of course, I think we all start thinking that way a bit in part because we know TT will just lay low and not do much and we get bored by this.

Here's a thought, albeit somewhat crazy:

What if Favre "un-retires" and is traded with a package of picks to Miami for the first overall pick?

It would give Ted T the opportunity to make his first bold "statement" as a GM.

Darren McFadden and Ryan Grant as a 1-2 punch? That's a compelling bit of stupid and unsubstantiated conjecture, no?

Rich,

Good point, but I should have clarified - I meant letting Wahle go the first time (when he let both Wahle and Rivera go in the offseason before the 2005 season started).

I know the Pack talked with Wahle recently re returning, but I think you're right, the West Coast is a better fit for he and his family.

I have seen other people complain that TT did not sign Mike Wahle and the one thing that people may not be thinking about is that it may not have been the Packers decision. Mike Wahle was born in Portland, Oregon and went to high school on the west coast and I am guessing that he probably has family out there. Seattle may just be exactly where HE wanted to be for his last years in the NFL.
