How Much Time Do You “Waste” on the Packers? Sheesh.

by

This is a funny article about worker productivity in Wisconsin during the week leading up to the NFC Championship.

Here is what Ben Grigg, president of Arrowhead Foundry, said about giving his workers a long break on Sunday night. “We’ve got about 300 people and they’re all focused on one thing – and that’s the Packers kicking the Giants’ butts. And that’s exciting. And there is a lot of noise, but we see that as a positive energy and something that we sort of go with.”

There’s lots more like that and the article is well worth reading.

I have one major complaint: Who wrote that stupid-ass headline? “How Much Time Do You Waste at Work on the Packers?” Even if you spend four hours a day reading about the Packers at work, the answer to that dumb question is zero. I think we should demand a correction.

I think the editor of JSOnline must be a PackerGeeks reader. As of 2:35 CT, I see the headline has now changed to “How much work time do you spend on the Pack?”

That’s good news. When you have 2 million daily readers, you have that kind of immediate impact.

Unfortunately, this question on the website shares the same flawed assumption. “How much time do you think you will have wasted this week talking or reading about the Packers? Go ahead and waste some time by tell us about it here. ”
