Outstanding call by Mike McCarthy on the pooch punt by Carolina. The coach might has well have run it in himself (and given the speed of Carolina’s players, probably could have). It is just good coaching to have Tramon Williams back when the Panthers line up for a field goal. Williams, sprung by an outstanding block by Johnny Jolly, had to do relatively little to make the 94-yard run to score. That was all Mike McCarthy (or maybe Mike Stock). Either way, that’s 7 points on good coaching.
