If only my powers of prognostication worked when I made my weekly picks. This morning, in a post about Jon Kitna’s Halloween costume, we wrote: “Kitna was one of several Detroit Lions to attend a Halloween Party to benefit the Mike Furrey Foundation. He had a creative costume that might exacerbate the natural tension that exists between the offense and defense.”
The outfit poked fun at defensive line coach Joe Cullen, who was arrested after visiting a Wendy’s drive through wearing no clothes. Kitna went “naked” to the party and his wife went as a Wendy’s clerk.
According to this story, the joke has drawn scrutiny in the Detroit press.
